First time trying DTF after so many raves about it. The service is quite slow but the hospitality is great, they do extend their help if you need it. Was expecting lots of umami flavour with their shrimp fried rice but I honestly think the tze char fried rice beats them. Their pork chop dishes and xlb are their famous signaure dishes, so I would recommended them!
We had different types of dumplings and soup, everything was really delicious! Just the queue is crazy and you have to wait for quite a long time, but it's worth it. This cute robot to show you the table was funny. If you are a vegetarian, it is a good option for you!
We highly recommend Din Tai Fung in Sentosa Island for its delicious food, convenient digital queuing system, and friendly staff. It can get quite busy during peak dining hours, so be prepared to wait for a table, but the wait is definitely worth it.
The fried rice with pork chop was, in a word, delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked and had a nice, fluffy texture, and the pork chop was tender and juicy. The seasoning was spot-on, and the dish had just the right amount of heat. It was definitely worth the price of 14.8 SGD.
The xiao long bao pork and shrimp were also a highlight of the meal. The broth inside the dumplings was rich and flavorful, and the pork and shrimp filling was perfectly seasoned. The dumplings were cooked to perfection and were a real treat to eat.
The restaurant was quite busy during peak dining hours, and there was a bit of a wait to get a table. However, the digital queuing system made things easier, as we were able to leave and explore the area while waiting for our table to be ready. The staff was friendly and efficient, and we were notified via our phone when our table was ready.
One thing to note is that the restaurant seemed to be understaffed, and our waiter was very busy attending to multiple tables. This did not affect the quality of the food, but it did mean that we had to wait longer for our orders to be taken and for our dishes to arrive. Nevertheless, the service was still quite good, and our waiter was apologetic for any delays.
Please be aware that antiseptic wipes is not free, it cost 1 SGD
A nice touch was that the restaurant offered free refills of water, which was appreciated as we dined in the hot and humid weather. The ambiance of the restaurant was also pleasant, with a clean and modern decor.
There was no queue on Sunday 7pm. The robot that showed us to our table was pretty cool. Ordering was through a website by scanning a QR code.
Food standard remains fantastic and the service was good too. Recommended fried rice with pork chop and xiao long bao 小笼包 (soup filled dumpling).
Total bill for 2 adults and 1 child are $50.
First time trying Din Tai Fung and it was excellent. Food is of exceptional quality, I recommend the shrimp xiaolongbao. Service was also on point and welcoming. There’s a fair amount of dishes available for those who don’t dine on swine.
It's very crowded on the holiday season, but the queueing app is very convenient. U just need to scan the qr code and register the details. When your number is close, there will be a notification to come back to the restaurant.
The pork chop fried rice is very good and has a large portion for 1 person. Buy the mineral water for 1 dollar and free refill.
We tend to come to this Din Tai Fung when visiting Resorts World Sentosa. They serve great typical Din Tai Fung food in a comfortable air-conditioned atmosphere. If we’re seated toward the inner side of the restaurant, the ambience seems better cos it is quieter there. This time, we were seated very close to the entrance so it was the noisiest experience we’ve ever had.
We ordered the Shredded Meat Fried Rice, Braised Beef Noodles, Prawn Pancake, 菜肉包, Boiled Dumplings and Earl Grey Tea. I can safely attest to the fact that all these dishes are really good and very consistent with each visit. As such, we tend to order these same dishes at every Din Tai Fung visit.
We were greeted by the jovial, conversant and welcoming Ms Joyce and it was a very pleasant experience because of her.
However, we had waited for about 45min for the 菜肉包 and had asked another waitress dressed in black about it twice. When we wanted to cancel the order, she insisted on keeping the order and rushed it to our table though we had already cleared up the rest of our dishes. My daughter said she looked rather stressed. We were fine with it so we stayed on to finish up the bao.
All in all, we enjoy coming here and will return again.
The restaurant can be pretty pack during meal times so do expect long queues. To avoid queues, do arrive approximately 30 mins before the usual meal times. For example, 11.30am instead of 12pm for lunch.
The food standard are as good as other outlets despite the crowd.
They do serve vegan/ vegetarian dishes but don't expect it to be a big variety.
